Surface Web —

If you read this text from the Social Links website, you do so via the Surface Web (or Clear Web). Surface Web is part of the internet accessible to the public and can be navigated using standard search engines.

This part of the web comprises all the web pages and sites indexed by standard search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. The found data may contain documents, media files, and more. To access Surface Web info, a user doesn't need any specific software (like TOR), create an account, or pay for access.

In 2022, Google indexed circa 50 billion web pages, and only 10% of them are represented Surface Web. What are the remaining nine-tenths? Well, that’s the Deep Web and the Dark Web.
