Platform security teams and fraud prevention analysts spend significant effort monitoring content for policy violations. This investigation exposes the limits of that approach. A complete fraud-as-a-service stack — 16 platform-specific guides for bypassing KYC verification, defeating anti-bot systems, and creating untraceable fake identities across Facebook, Tinder, Ticketmaster, AliExpress, and more — was operating openly on Reddit, indexed by Google, visible to anyone with a search engine. No single post triggered a flag. Each one read, in isolation, like a privacy guide.

This case study, conducted by Mat Gillard of THINKPOL in collaboration with Social Links, documents how OSINT keyword monitoring and cross-account pattern analysis using SL Crimewall surfaced a three-operator fraud network in a single session. The investigation reveals why the fraud signal is invisible to content moderation and visible only to systems that can reconstruct behavioral patterns across accounts, communities, and time — and why, as account takeover losses approach $17 billion globally, that distinction matters more than ever.
