Machine Learning (ML) —
Machine learning (ML) is a growing branch of artificial intelligence (AI) research that involves training an algorithm through repetitive processes, all to improve its capacity for performing specific tasks. With ML algorithms, machines automatically learn from past experiences and data. In the meantime, it becomes possible to identify patterns to make predictions without (or just minimum) human intervention.
Research in the ML field shows enormous promise. The global machine learning industry reached a valuation of $21.17B in 2021, with experts predicting the industry to grow to over $200B by 2029. OpenAI’s ChatGPT is a notable example of an ML-based system that has caused a stir across various spheres. With a massive potential for further development, the machine learning field is set to shape the future of industries on a huge scale.
