Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) Key Encryption —

Pretty Good Privacy, or PGP, is an online encryption system for communication that allows sending encrypted emails and encrypting sensitive data. Here’s how it works:

Say User A wants to send User B a totally private email. For this purpose, User B needs to create two keys: one public and one private. The public key provides encryption, while the private key is the decryption counterpart. User B then sends the public key to User A for encrypting the message, which is sent to User B and decrypted with the private key.

In a nutshell, anyone with access to the public key can encrypt an email, while only the private key owner can decrypt it.
